Salary: £50000 - £60000 per annum | Location: City of London
SAP Basis consultant needed for a consulting firm for a role to be based solely in Central London. This SAP Basis consultant will need to provide Basis team support of current and future SAP related client projects and coordinate closely with the client and internal infrastructure teams to deliver a stable, highly available Business system. The SAP Basis consultant will be expected to provide ongoing remote Basis support for my client's SAP client base. This means developing & implementing measures to ensure high availability for SAP; fully documenting and standardising operational procedures with appropriate controls to ensure operational stability; and facilitating infrastructure activities in support of ongoing SAP release and deployment projects.
In order to be successful in this role, the successful SAP Basis consultant will have 6+ years in hands on Basis support and should be able to demonstrate excellent customer service skills. The SAP Basis consultant should also have good experience with SQL 2005-2008, Linux (Red Hat or Suse), and Windows 2003-2008. As well as these core skills, familiarity with SAP on VMware and Sybase ASE would be a bonus.
